1. Try to install or re-install the wireless driver. This post may help: Windows 8 RTM unable to connect to enterprise wifi
2. If there is not Windows 8 driver available, try windows 7 driver. Also refer to this post:Win8 - Unable to Connect to University WiFi - WPA-2 (PEAP)
3. Try to change Wifi Mode from Auto to a/b/g. Very unreliable WiFi performance on fresh Windows 8 install
4. Or Changing the encrypting from AES to TKIP.

Hi,
Thank you for the reply, But none of your suggestion worked.
1)i tried reinstalling wireless driver, didnt help
2) Windows 8 driver is available so i ve installed the latest driver in laptop (qualcom atheros, Laptop :asus k55vm)
3)changing wifi mode, didnt help
4) changing the encription : university wifi doesnt support TKIP.
In few forum they says that installing windows 7 driver will resolve the issue but now when I tried installing windows 7 driver in compatibility mode driver is not getting updated in network adapter it just install the software doesnt update the driver.
Do you any other solution? i am really in great dilemma, i am not able to work and i am wasting my time by going to computer lab just for accessing internet.

Hi, I tried installing the windows 7 driver, software get installed but i cant find qualcom network adapter (device manger< network adaptors) , only after installing windows 8 version i can see the adapter.
Is there any way to fix this? so that i will install windows 7 driver and try connecting to wifi.
I tried installing windows 7 version of driver in compatibility mode, in compatibility mode it automatically detect it as windows xp (service pack 3 ) version and windows 8 version as 'previous version'.
Now it is really annoying to have windows 8.

If the University utilizes a permission which you must accept to gain access via WiFi which should popup a browser default you have either Internet Explorer or Firefox the next page shown will say welcome you now have Internet Access via our Network which requires you to gain access using the browser so once you have that link as a Guest there at the University requiring No Password Access like most institutions esp medical facilities you should bookmark that link to the browser and even make a shortcut on the desktop for it to popup when you have wireless, even if your computer has wireless the Linksys-Cisco. It is called Web-Authentication to a secure server which is dedicated for WiFi users to login. Cisco wireless adapters are best to use for this type connection, if you see white boxes on the walls in hallways you are looking at the wireless Cisco connection. I use a USB wire plus a Hub which has four connections on it and one cisco wireless adapter plugged into it because the unit width is to wide causing a laptop problem with another USB connected which disconnects over time because it is to close to each other and this separates more plus I end up with four more USB connectors and I hate the mouse pad so I deactivated it and connected a mouse USB wire to the laptop directly since I got fetup with the wireless mouse disconnecting because its idle forcing me to click and I did not like having to remember where the pointer is on the window.
