    Open network and sharing center>Properties of adapters>TCP/IPv4

    You can check the preferred DNS server and alternate DNS server.

    Advanced TCP\IP settings 

    You can also check the list of DNS servers.

  • Had a similar situation here. The culprit was WebRoot DNS Protection, which overrode my static DNS server settings. Look for that, and anything of a similar theme in Add/Remove. Remove that software and you will be good to go. Probably will not have to restart.
