ram problem RRS feed

  • Domanda

  • I have recently run into this issue,

RAM was reading 8gb installed(7.78gb available) yesterday, without making any changes (hardware or software)

today i opened after effects and noticed that my RAM preview was way shorter. checked my ram and there it was out of the blue.

    I have tried :

unchecking max memory box in msconfig

booted with just 1 stick(twice) and checked ram and sockets both test good,,4gb installed with no "available" reading

    reinstalled windows

    reset virtual memory

    updated BIOS

nothing has worked, just noticed my 8gb gpu is reading as 4gb in cpu z and

ram is reading as a single channel setup instead of dual (RAM is in correct sockets)

    configured correctly)

    Win 8.1 enterprise x64

    amd 9370 4.4gb cpu

    Radeon R9 390 8gb

    GB 990fxa-ud3 mother board

    Any help would be appreciated
