disable wifi vs disconnect wifi via task sequence Win10 RRS feed

  • Soru

  • Setup:

During the boot process I enable wifi at the login then disable it via Task Sequence at startup so the cellular takes over.  Cellular does connect to the carrier, however, when I launch Cisco anyconnect to establish a svpn connection it connects briefly then disconnects.  At this point I no longer have internet connection to the carrier and have to restart to regain access.

After working on this I changed the task sequence to first disconnect the wifi, then disable the wifi.  This resolved the connectivity issues via Cellular.

What I have not figured out is why when I just did the disable wifi task it fails, but when I add a disconnect first then disable it it then completes the connection with no interruption.  My thinking is the disable by itself is not updating the windows TCP stack showing it no longer available and updating the tables.

  • Hi
    Thanks for your posting here.
    >>disable wifi vs disconnect wifi via task sequence Win10

As far as I know, we can create task sequence with SCCM and MDT.
Did you mean disable Wi-Fi via task sequence in SCCM?

If yes, since your query is more related with SCCM, which our forum doesn’t focus on, I would suggest you have this asked in our SCCM forum.

It’s a right place you could get more information.
