  • Missing Windows Default directories (My Document, Downloads...)  suddenly

And the system rebuilt those folders (without any pre-stored data) instead.

How to find those missing folders?

  • Hi Simon.

Did you perform any operation on the system after which you've noticed that issue?
Try applying a restore point to revert back the system to the previous state.

    Bye.

  • Hi

For your issue, it is recommended that you check your Recycle Bin or perform a system restore.

    Check if it works.

Hope can help you. Have a nice day!

    Best regards

  • Hi Simon HST,

I'm not sure if I can understand the issue, your situation.

Windows default directories such as Documents are in Libraries.
And Libraries are in this folder:
    C:\Users\<your account>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Libraries

    Try these steps:
    1) in File/Windows Explorer, go to the above folder
    2) select all folders in Libraries
    3) right-click > [Properties] > uncheck [Hidden]
