Hi Joe
Try the following.
Go to Start / All Programs / Accessories.
Right click the Command Prompt item and select the Run As Administrator option from the menu.
Click Continue on the UAC prompt.
Copy/Paste the following command into the command promptwindow.
regsvr32 %windir%\system32\zipfldr.dll
Press ENTER
You should see a command succeeded message.
Close the Command prompt window and reboot the computer.
Try the Extract option again.

Zip files not unzipping on double click inWin 7 RC
Hi Joe
Try right clicking the zip file and selecting the Extract All from the context menu.
This should unzip the file and create a separate folder for the files.

Hi Ronnie, Thanks for reply.The extract all option somehow is not there. I know VISTA has it on my other computers. I had downloaded AVG8.5 and when double clicked comes up with windows does not know how to open this file and wants me to associate with a program which ofcourse I donot have on this Win7 RC 7100 version.

HI. The message is from RegSvr32 ... The module "C:\Windows\system32]zipfldr.dll" was loaded but the entry-point DllRegisterServer was not found.
Make sure that"C:\Wndows\system\zipfldr.dll" is a valid DLL or OCX file and then try again.
By the way I looked in the system32 folder and the dll does exist there.
