Update to 1903 keeps rolling back RRS feed

  • Hi All,

    I've currently got v1809, build 17763.805 on my laptop, and the system is ready to update to 1903.  When I click the Restart now button, it goes though the update motions, restarting a few times, and I have now caught a glimpse of a "rollback in progress" screen.  And here I stay, at v1809.

    I have plenty of disk space.  I have cleared out the \Software Distribution folder.  I have a reliable internet connection.

    Is there anything else anyone can suggest?

  • Go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 and download the media creation tool and use it to put windows setup files on either flash usb or dvd and after that go to the bios and make sure that boot from the media that you are using is enabled and then boot from it. when it asks you do you want to upgrade or do fresh install select upgrade

    if it fails then backup all your files then boot again from the media and this time select do clean install.

    With these major upgrades, the most successful method is to upgrade from the Windows 10 ISO - you download the ISO and then perform an Offline Upgrade, that avoids possible problems with your current installation such as Windows Update.
