Assigning a drive letter to a redirected folder with remote desktop client for mac version 8.0.10 RRS feed

  • Question

  • We can successfully redirect a folder on the local mac drive to show in windows explorer on the terminal server. We can see and access all sub folders within the redirected folder. We can read, write, modify or delete files. Our custom program requires this folder to be accessed by a drive letter. The minute we assign a drive letter, whether through the "Map a drive" menu in Windows Explorer or do Net use H: \\tsclient\<foldername>, we loose the ability to access the redirected folder. The error message states that \\tsclient\<foldername> is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. Attempt to access invalid address. I need this to work like it did in the old Mac client software.
