NETWIN32.DLL was not found

    Question

  • Good day all,
    Our company is busy to migrate fron Novell Netware to a Microsoft server.
    Advantage Database server is loaded on the Microoft server
    Specifications;
    Microsoft Server 2008 R2
    Advantage Database Server (ADS 9.1)
    We had developed some applications in Xbase++ which were running fine on the Novell server.
    When trying to run those applications on the micrsosoft server I get the following error;
    "This application has failed to start because NETWIN32.DLL was not found. Reinstalling this aplication may fix this problem"

    I did some resaerch and found out that this DLL belongs to the Novell Netware Netlibrary.
    How do I fix trhis problem?
    Thanks;
    Jay

Answers

  • Thank you for the answers gentlemen,

    The problem has been solved. I did the following;

    -Comment out all Netware DLL's that was linked in my project file.

    -After this I got some "undeclared function errors".

    -So I went trough the sourcecode and commented out all the lines where I got those errors.

    After that I compiled again and that was it.

    The application was working perfectly.

    Best regards;

    Jay
