ADFS federation server replication ports RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

This is the first time i have trouble to find a Microsoft relate dinfo.

We intend to place 4 federation servers in a HA configuration.

We placed two servers in each site.

The question is : Which port is used for the ADFS servers to replicate the WID database ?

  • Hi,

By default, the TCP 443 port needs to be opened when deploying the ADFS related service.

For how a WID federation server farm works, you could refer to:

  • Hi Vivian,

First , thank you for your answer, but unfortunately, it does not answer my question.

My question is about the replication between two ADFS Federation server. I know that the WID database is replicated each 5 minutes between the secondary node(s) and the Primary node. But on which port or ports this replication is done.

That's the question, and i can't find anything on the wire.

  • Hi,

I also did not found any MS article mentioned about the ports information for the ADFS replication.

Maybe you could ask in ADFS forums for more technical support:

    Regards.
