RD web access, broker and gateway RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

we plan to deploy remote desktop infrstructure. We will have RD host farm in the future. Now we want to deploy RD web access, broker and gateway. Can we deploy these services on one host server in our internal network. Our client will connect from outside corporate to RD host servers through RD web. We plan to deploy Forefront server also in DMZ. Or should we deploy RD web on Foprefront server in DMZ and RD gateway with RD broker on one server host in internal network?

    thanks

  • Hello,

It's better to keep anything which can be accessed from the web in your DMZ, in your case, if you plan on using both TS gateway and Web access (you can integrate rd web inside the gateway for SSL secured remoteapps, but you can also launch those remoteapps from the gateway alone, it's really up to you), you'll want to put them both in your DMZ, and keep your broker and your RDS farm secured in your LAN
