PC freezes after sleep mode RRS feed

  • Hi,

    i have following problem.

    PC goes into sleep mode after 10 minutes. screen saver starts and computer freezes after a few minutes. waking up is not possible. Black screen appears. only a hard reset helps. it is especially about Windows 10 Build 18363.418 on a HP ProDesk 400G4. the hibernate 

    the sleep mode is intentional and is distributed over the gpo.

    Does anyone have an idea ?

  • Uninstall, reinstall and update graphic card driver. Visit the support site of the graphic card manufacturer to download the latest driver which is compatible with your graphic card installed and OS as well.

    Change the Power settings:

    In Start Search type Edit power plan  Power Options
    Click “Change Plan Settings” on the “Balanced (recomended)”
    Click “Change Advanced power settings”
    Under the “Turn Off Hard Disk after” option change the timing to “0″ which should set it to Never. Click Apply and OK.

  • Hi,

    Try the following method: 

    Device Manager -> Intel Management Engine Interface -> Properties -> Power Management
    Uncheck "Allow the computer to turn of this device to save power."

    Please check the issue in clean boot environment, to disable all third party services:
