I have a setup with one customer who has tow "Fiber" connected locations, he has a Pool of 100VMs running Windows 7 at each Location, both of them working and share the same network.
The customer need to have the user get their VDI Session from any of the Location, however, we struggled how the user will get his profile.
I'm thinking of having DFS Name Space with two member servers, one in each site, and configure the Profile in Active Directory to be: \\NameSpace\%User%
but I'm not sure if this will work or not, and I'm not sure if there will be a better solution to this scenario.
The mean need if the first Location completely got down, we need to have the users connected to the second location and get their profiles.
Thanks in Advance.
We have found discussion about "Roaming Profiles using DFS?" in our forum, earlier. Please check below links to know more roaming profiles and DFS.
