I am using WMI class MSDSM_DEFAULT_LOAD_BALANCE_POLICY to check if the MPIO load balance policy is set. For some reason, on one of my servers, the class is available and on the other is not. The only difference between the servers are that one
of them does not have any updates on it (this one works) and the other one does.
Is there a reason why would the class be removed? I check for it after the Windows MPIO has been enabled, so it should be visible in both places.
You may consider display and configure load-balancing policy settings from the command line by using the MPCLAIM utility. This makes configuration of MPIO easier. For detailed information about MPCLAIM, please refer to the following article:
For the issue why WMI query class MSDSM_DEFAULT_LOAD_BALANCE_POLICY do not exists, I‘d suggest that we post the full command you used at the PowerShell forum. There you can get more effective suggestion by other exports who familiar with this topic. Thanks
for your understanding.
