System Volume Information folder in local windows 2008 R2 harddrive is filling up rapidly

  • Windows 2008 R2 SP1 with Exchange 2010 Sp2 Rollup 5v2 and running in VMware Vshpere 5.0 Virtual Machine

So within last couple days the "System Volume Information" folder has started growing rapidly, the OS Drive run out of space a couple days ago, I reduce allocated memory for the VM and removed old install of Avamar backup client/agent, thinking it was corrupted or something.  Anyways the folder stop growing for a couple hours and then this morning it grows again and now OS drive is full again.

My backup guys is saying Commvault backup is running and only backing upto network not local drive.  We don't have Windows System Restore enable for the any drives on this server and Windows native backup is not installed on this server.

Any ideas?  I have tried to take ownership of the files that are growing within the folder, but I cannot delete them??

    Thanks in advance for help
