DCOM was unable to connect to a server that doesn't exist anymore RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

On my Server 2016 connection broker, in the system eventlog, every 10 minutes 4 of the same error messages are generated.

    Event ID: 10028
    Source: Distributed COM

DCOM was unable to communicate with the computer <servername> using any of the configured protocols; requested by PID      c80 (C:\Windows\system32\ServerManager.exe).

The server it is referring to is an old RD Session Host that doesn't exist anymore. I did found out that the computeraccount and DNS A record still existed, so I deleted those.

The error messages are still popping up. How can I get rid of them?
