How to make Windows 7 download "optional updates(Ex: Language packs)" from WSUS Server ?
I have already approve all windows familiy products updates from WSUS server, but Windows 7 can't get any "optional updates" from my WSUS Server.
WSUS does not carry the attribute of "optional" for updates. Either an update is approved and downloaded to the WSUS Server and the WUAgent can detect/download/install the update, or something is not working correctly.
I suspect a more accurate statement is that this machine is not getting ANY updates from your WSUS Server.

My Vista can detect and download Language packs from my WSUS Server.
But Windows 7 can't do this. I make sure Windows 7 can download important updates from my WSUS Server.
As to the Language Packs.... they only exist for Vista Ultimate. There are, to my knowledge, no such things as "Language Packs" for Windows 7 -- but perhaps that's because I'm only synchronizing English-language updates, and they're contained in other language selections. If there are Windows 7 Language Packs, however, I suspect they would be only applicable to a Windows 7 =MUI= installation, so if you do have such updates, and they're not being detected, my guess would be that it's because of the language configuration of the existing clients.
