GPP Shortcuts moving after policy refresh RRS feed

  • Question

  • Server 2008r2... win7 desktops... Whenever the GPO refreshes, it moves the GPP shortcuts back to the default location on the users desktops. Most people don't care, but some like to bunch them together etc... and whenever the refresh happens, it plunks 'em back into the bottom left corner usually. I do not know if this happens universally, but it does for some users. Is there something i can set to allow the shortcuts to be moved and stay where they are moved to?

  • Hello,

I guess you use the option "Replace".

This will delete the shortcuts on every refresh and copy them again.
You need to switch to "Update" or "Create".

You can also leave the replace option and check the "Apply once and do not reapply" option.
