DHCPv6 server not gives addresses but fails to update in DNS RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello all,

I have configured Windows Server 2008 R2 as a DC (domain IPV6) with DHCPv6 and DNS. The issue I'm running into is windows 7\2008 machines get an IPV6 address, I can ping the DC server and other clients in the network but the machine fails to update itself in DNS as well as other machines can't ping the new machine. Even after a few reboots nothing happens. If I join the machine to the IPV6 domain and do a reboot or ipconfig/dnsregister it works.

What setting am I missing on the DHCP server or client machine?

    Any help would be great.
