Change IE9 Homepage based on login status

    Question

  • There's probably an elegant way of doing this, but I'm missing it.

Our users are allocated one laptop, which they use in the office and then take with them on the road.  When in the office and logged into the corporate network we would like them to have the corporate intranet set and locked as the ie9 homepage.

When not logged into the network, we would like to set the corporate external website as the homepage.

What's the best way of doing this?

    Thanks in advance

  • Hello,

The problem is, you can't deliver any policies when you are not connected with your Domain Controller.

Unfortunately IE does not have support for settings based on different networks.

You could try to create a script that will change the IE homepage based on your requirements.

You could create a scheduled task with Group Policy Preferences and run this script on every client.
This task would have to run the whole time or you can bind this task to a Event-Viewer Event.
