mstsc crashes RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We have a customer that access one of our server 2012 R2 from a single Win 7 Sp1 to run Crystal report and print lables to thier local Zebra printer.

We are using the Remote Dektop Easy Printing drivers on the server side and on the client PC they use the Zebra printer driver.

lately when they send the print job to the printer the mstsc on the client side crashes. I did check the logs on the server side and I can see that the print job has been successfully sent to the printer.

Any idea why the mstsc.exe crashes?

    Thanks

  • Thanks for the reply,

The local PC of the customer has access to 2 different zebra printer and both get redirected to the RDSH server.

Both printers use Microsoft Remote Desktop Easy printing drivers. When a user printer label to the Zebra 1 the mstsc crashes, the same user print the same label to the second printer and label get printed and mstsc dont crashes.

Customer says that sometimes he can print to the zebra 1 as well but most of the times the mstsc get crashed.

  • Thanks for your reply,

Problem has been solved. Problem on this machine was the Printer driver. I did remove it and install the new driver and now everything works again.
