Configure "Permissions for Remote Desktop Services Connections" via Policy or Script RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello Guys,

Does anyone of you know a script to set the "Permissions for Remote Desktop Services Connections"
    automatically?

I don't want to manually configure all my Remote Desktop Session Hosts.

I would prefer a Group Policy, but I haven't seen one about that...

I only know that there is a policy to prevent the admins from changing the settings:

  • Hello Again,

I found the answer, WMI can do that.

    WMIC.exe /node:localhost /namespace:\\root\cimv2\TerminalServices PATH Win32_TSAccount where "(TerminalName='RDP-Tcp' or TerminalName='Console') and SID='S-1-5-32-555'" CALL ModifyPermissions TRUE,4

Unfortunately there is now GPO for that.

There is also a great script, that has a lot of options to set the RDP-Permissions:

  • Hi,

    Great, thanks for you sharing.

Group policy could not change those permissions based on my knowledge.
