Cluster MSDTC Quorum RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am setting up a two-node Exchange cluster and the documentation I've read says you need to set up a Physical Disk resource and a Physical Disk (Quorum) resource for the MSDTC Group. Is the quorum for the MSDTC group the same as the quorum for the actual cluster? If not, what is the MSDTC quorum for?

    Thanks,
    Scott

  •  Clustering MSDTC is covered in KB 301600.  For your purposes, you can create the DTC resource in the cluster group and use the Quorum disk and the cluster name for its dependencies.
