Boot Image French RRS feed

  • It's really nothing more than the steps outlined in that specific post. The only thing I can say is to double check everything. Make sure to save the script and test it and make sure to use the folder in which you saved the script is used with the Includes files for the prestart command. After applying those changes simply update the distribution point(s) and it should create the updated boot image.

  • Hi

When i test a script i receive message setsmstslanguagefolder.vbs (11,1) Microsoft VBScript runtime error: ActiveX component can.t create object: 'Microsoft.SMS.TSEnvironment'

    Thanks for you help

  • You're probably testing the script out-side of a task sequence, because a 'Microsoft.SMS.TSEnvironment' object only exists within a task sequence.

  • hi

Thanks, effectively i test the script out-side.

But the file not in task sequence, the file in "Prestart command", it's a same thing?

    Thanks

  • Yes, the prestart command runs when the task sequence environment already exists.

  • Is the language available in the boot image at all? If not, is it available/ installed on the site server?

  • Hi

    I have SCCM 2012 R2 on Windows 2012 R2 and use Boot Image X64, it's a same script?

    Thanks

    Monday, March 2, 2015 2:58 PM
  • Yes, it's the same script. The most important is to update the distribution points afterwards to update the boot images with the right information.

  • Hi,

Does the script file needs a specific encoding? (UTF-8, ANSI....) I have the same problem.

Thank you very much for your time !

  • Hi

Be careful to cpoy / paste. After pasting, you have to re-enter the " in the VBS.

  • Hi, don't know if you need the whole boot image in french or just the keyboard? if it's the latter this is what I use in my prestart.bat

    wpeutil SetKeyboardLayout 0c0c:00001009

(french Canadian keyboard, winPe 10 x64)

    good luck

It's even easier and more flexible this way: http://www.mssccmfaq.de/2016/08/18/tastaturlayout-winpe-boot-images/

  • ha yes that's true but you'll won't have the keyboard in the correct langage until after the start of the task sequence  (so if it's password protected or if you need to run some scripts / do troubleshooting  step (F8) right at the start of WinPe)

  • Hello guys, especially Peter van der Woude,

i tried to set my WinPE-Language to German with your script, but its not working.

The logs are clear and cscript is finishing your script with errorcode 0

Here's the interesting part of the log:

of course i updated the distribution points and verified the script on the filesystem of winpe.

    Any idea why this occurs?
