Display corruption - Ubuntu 14.10 server RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've just configured a Hyper-V virtual machine as generation 2 and disabled the secure boot option. On my remote Windows Server 2012 R2 server at OVH

After installing ubuntu 14.10(X64) with the mini .iso image I get the following screen.

I'm unable to do anything with it, when I send a ctrl alt delete it reboots and I get the same screen again..
I was able to get out of it once, but I don't remember how I did that (pressed some random buttons on the keyboard..)

Additionally I'd like to check what drivers and integration software I need to install on Ubuntu 14.10, I saw this article: http://www.serverwatch.com/server-tutorials/installing-and-activating-hyper-v-linux-integration-services.html

But it appears that the drivers are already loaded out of the box when I ran Lsmod.
I read that I still need to install some software with

    sudo apt-get install hv-kvp-daemon-init

But that didn't work correctly, it stated the package could no longer be found.. which package do I need to install to get Ubuntu to work optimally with Hyper-V?
