Laptop keeps restarting RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

My Laptop restarts usually after being on for about half an hour or so and yes the cooling fans does work!  It then keeps restarting every 5 mins or so. I have the .DMP file If someone would be kind enough to analyse it for me, I would be grateful. How do I attach to this post? Many thanks

  • Hi nigelruss,

It seems that Process:MBAMService.exe is related to your system crash.

What's your AV software? Malwarebytes Anti-Malware?

I suggest that you could disable or uninstall the security software to check.

    Regards,

  • Hi Carl

Thanks for your reply.  Malwarebytes was only installed yesterday, it was ran and remove a few bits of minor malware and then uninstalled.  The AV software running on the unit is F-secure internet security.

    Hope this helps.

The dump file has recorded a 0x00000050 (PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA) bug check, which indicates that invalid system memory has been referenced.
The problem could have been caused by the Malwarebytes anti-malware program (there are occurrences of its components in the dump file): try disabling it and check the system's behaviour.

    Bye.
