During initial installation I was able to schedule a backup to a USB hard drive.
Once I started to backup the computers on my home network to the Windows Home Server 2011, the existing USB hard drive was insufficient.
I created a share on my NAS for the backups. When trying to schedule backups to the NAS I am prompted to enter credentials.
I enter a username and password and they are accepted.
When completing the wizard I receive the following error.
"You must be a member of the local Administrators or Backup Operators groups to scheduled a backup."
I added the servers local Administrator account to Backup Operators and I still receive the same error.
I am able to run a one time backup of the server successfully but I still cannot Create a backup schedule for the server.
Thanks for posting here.
WHS 2011 is different than general Windows Servers editions. You might want to ask this question in Windows Home Server 2011 forum.
