Transfer SCCM data to new drive RRS feed

  • Hi,

    We have this setup installed in a server 2012 R2 "System Centre Configuration Manager Secondary Site setup.".

    Two services below pointing to the D drive.

    SMS_EXECUTIVE 

    SMS_SITE_COMPONENT_MANAGER 

    We have issue with D drive of our storage, we have allocated another drive on this same server from different storage.

    We are planning to stop these services and transfer D drive data to the new drive and make the new drive as D drive and start the services. is this recommend?

  • There is no built-in or supported process for doing this. For a secondary site, your only real option is remove the secondary site completely and then reinstall it using no_sms_on_drive.sms files to control what volumes are used.
