DsRemoveDsDomainW error 0x2015 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Trying to remove the naming contexts of a child domain using ntdsutil. Our domain is Windows 2008 R2. This is a test child domain that had one DC that crashed. When I attempt to remove the naming context I get a

DsRemoveDsDomainW error 0X2015(The directory service can perform the requested operation only on a leaf object.)

I tried following the steps in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/887424 however the commands there appear to be not in ntdsutil for Windows 2008 R2.

Has anyone run into this before?
