background process create index RRS feed

  • I see background process create index from sp_who2 command but there is no maintenance jobs are any create index operations,still I see background connection says create index and it use cpu high some times, i see connection always. please let me know what is this process

  • I'm seeing the same thing.  Essentially I think what is being asked is why would a system process (any below 50) run Create Index.  For example, in my case output of sp_who2 is:

    Spid 31

    status:  Background

    DBName:  SomeUserDB

    Command: CREATE INDEX

    As mentioned by Olaf, would you please display the create index line in the execution result of sp_who2? I suggest you use DBCC INPUTBUFFER(SPID) to get eventinfo.
