Importing from CSV or GC from TXT

I have a list of 60,000 users to add to a new DG and am wondering which is faster - importing from a CSV file or using get-content with a TXT file then piping it to Add-DistributionGroupMember to add the user(s) to the DG? I suggested multiple lists but was told to go with one list.

I have done some DG's up to 20,000 users but nothing this large. We are going to restrict this list so only 4 users can send to it and no external users at all.

Anyone have any experience with lists this large?

I suspect it's taken you longer to compose and post your question and then wait for an answer than it would have taken to populate the distribution group with a script.

Hi,

Many of you may remember the recommendation of 5000 values in a multi-valued attribute in Windows 2000, and the fact that the limitation no longer exists in subsequent versions.
