Monitor Resolution Settings RRS feed

  • Question

  • I just installed my first WMS 2011 system last week and have a question about the monitor resolution settings.  I'm using the HP t200 Zero Client and I have a few users that would benefit from a different resolution, however when I go to try and change the resolution setting it is grayed out.  Can the resolution be set on a per user basis or do all the workstations default to the resolution setting of the server?

    Thanks for your help,

  • Each WMS station can have different resolutions.  As Bruno mentions, resolution can only be set in maintenance mode.  (Right click on the desktop and select "screen resolution".

  • Scratch that. Both are MCT clients (the dell/wyse one is under the hood).

There is a custom utility installed when you install the driver after the rolloup update (had it on, but didn't see what it was for) that works likely in front of server (or remotely using teamviewer (not rdp - still says it doesn't like "station mode" (even when in console mode). FBRAppx.exe. A usb device changing utility "MCT Custom Presenter". You can change the clients using this, and tehn reboot to station mode. Should work.

  • Will this work in WMS2012? There is "console" mode instead of maintaince mode. When you switch to it, it suspends all clients. When you get out of it, the server reboots. So how do you change it from a client in console mode? (Wyse E02 lan client, and MWS8820 usb clients (none are direct connect).

My clients are 1280x1024, and the P2012H displays are 1600x900 so its fuzzy as there is aspect ratio mismatch.

    Cheers
