Remote Desktop Web Client - System text RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    Enviroment:

    2 x RDS Web servers - Windows Server 2016

    2 x RDS Broker servers - Windows Server 2016

    2 x RDS Gateway servers - Windows Server 2016

We recently upgraded several Remote Desktop Web Clients, in different RDS enviroments.

After upgrading to 10.0.18.0, the "Diplay text" on the website, looks like a system text. Meaning all the text have replaced spaces with underscore... Also a new GDPR link is present, at the top of the website now.

How can we fix this matter?

  • Hi,

    Please check below:
    1. Confirm that if such problem happens on all client system, or specific OS version.
    2. Confirm that if such problem happens when using specific browser, such as Microsoft Edge, IE, Google Chrome.

If problem only happens on version 1.0.18.0 of most systems, a temp workaround would be un-install the problematic version, and re-install previous version.

  • Hi,

It seems that if the clients have been connected, before upgrading to 10.0.18, they get the faulty site...

Tested this across 3 RDS enviroments, with Edge, Firefox, and Chrome - and with each of the browsers, the issue is only present when not running Private / Incognito... This is an bug...

To verify this, is cleaned the "Cached images and files" in Google Chrome, and afterwards the site works again. Even that this is an workaround, we can demand close to a thousand users, to do this... As with all websites, this should be handled by the website.
