Windows 2008 R2 can not RDP to Windows 2016 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have windows 2016 server which i can RDP from Windows 7 and Windows 2012 server but from Windows 2008, i cant, i get error that this computer can not connect to remote computer, try again or contact your network administrator.

If i add TLS1.0 Enabled = 1 entry on target Windows 2016 server, i can then connect but i dont want to enable that registry key.

Any pointers, suggestion, fixes would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Thanks and best regards Rockaposhi

  • Hi,

May I know if the KB provided by Cengiz helped?

If not, you may also check if this update could resolve your issue or not.

Update to add RDS support for TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 in Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2:
