0x0000003B BSOD System_Service_Exception rdpdr.sys - 2008 R2 SP1 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have several servers that crash when I log in to them, physical & HyperV VMs. RDPDR.SYS looks to be causing the issue.

Anybody know of a hotfix that may cure this problem?

Windows 2008 R2 Web Server SP1 running on Dell hardware.

  • Let me ask an additional question.  My tech support is indicating we should only apply the hot fix to the impacted server we have - - that is getting the 0x0000003B error code.  Wouldn't we want to apply to all impacted servers?  Just trying to understand the technical reasons why we would only apply a hot fix to ONE server and not all similar servers.

I know this is 'late response'. But there is a hotfix available for the same issue 'RDPDR.SYS'
