Mountain Lion version of Mac RemoteDesktopClient?

    Question

  • I am trying to install Microsoft Remote Desktop Client for Mac on a computer running Mac OSX 10.8.5 (Mountain Lion). Unfortunately, support for this OS was dropped a while ago, and the latest version from the App Store requires 10.9 or newer.

I am looking for a link or download to the 8.0.22 version of Microsoft Remote Desktop Client for Mac.  According to the Changelog, that was the last version of the RDC that worked with OSX 10.7 and 10.8.

I did try the 2.1.2 version and that is not working for me - unsurprising since it supports only up to Snow Leopard (10.6).

  • Hi Greg,

I am not able to find a supported version of remote desktop for Mac that’s applicable to your Mac system, you may need to upgrade the Mac system to be able to use the application.

    Best Regards,

    Amy
