SCCM - Software Updates error RRS feed

  • Hi SCCM Folks 

    I needs help with that, I haven't got software Update to the clients.

    I have got error messages,  Wuahandler.log

    OnSearchComplete - Failed to end search job. Error = 0x80240438. WUAHandler 2019-07-29 09:31:37 1872 (0x0750)
    Scan failed with error = 0x80240438. WUAHandler 2019-07-29 09:31:37 1872 (0x0750)

    I have check that for WSUS,

    And GPO got ports 8530 and 8531, registry

    It's something I have missed ?

  • Yes, I find it , there is the ports I needed top open , Management point -- > Domain controller

  • Hi,

    Based on my research, the error 0x80240438 may also be caused by proxy-related issues. So please kindly check the proxy settings on the clients. The proxy settings need to be configured correctly on the clients to enable them to communicate with WSUS by using the computer's FQDN.

    - Declined all superseded updates directly in WSUS? - NOT YET
    - Adjusted the private memory limit on the WSUS IIS App Pool? - NOT YET
    - Adjusted the queue length on the WSUS IIS App Pool? - NOT YET
    - Reindexed the DB and rebuilt its statistics? - NOT YET
    - Applied the latest CU to the OS hosting the WSUS instance? - CHECK
    - Declined version Next updates? - NOT YET
    - Removed unecessary product categories from your SUP configuration? - CHECK
