Same forest two single level domain trees. Decommissioning RootdomainNamingContext “domain RRS feed

  • Hi Stane,

    that's correct - you cannot "remove" the root domain of the forest (other than by decommissioning all domains in the forest).

    If you want to have a single domain forest, you would need to migrate to a new forest - or migrate from DomainB to DomainA and then remove DomainB

  • Hi

     You can't remove the root domain,as mentioned if you need you should migrate domain to new one.First you should configure domain trust between source and target then migrate AD resources with ADMT;
