We are trying to connect to a system running Windows Server 2008 R2 but once the log in credentials are entered it goes through the logging in process but then the screen just pauses on a black screen. The system is totally unresponsive and is almost frozen.
We tried disabling the persistent bitmap caching, logging on from a different location and also other options like altering the display settings.
Could we receive some assistance on this issue as soon possible please? Thanks.
After go through the previous post, I know the problematic server is a virtual machine and has low performance. Can we assign more hardware resource for this server? Such as, CPU and Memory. Did you install any anti-virus software on the server? Please try
to temporarily disable it, and perform a clean boot on the server to see if the issue still persists. Also check the Task Manager to see which process takes the memory resources.
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
