  • hi,

First, you can manually verify it over time, by posting and waiting.
Or, if you need your account verified to post images or links sooner, you can email "fissues" at Microsoft and ask them to verify your account.
In addition, you can post a request in the sticky thread near the top of the list of threads in the Forums Issues forum. Simply open the thread labeled "Verify Your Account #", where # is a number, and reply to the thread with your request.

  • hi,
4did you purchase rds 2019 per user cal and want to enroll this rds cal to w2019 RDLS server(not w2016 RDLS server)?

5can you enter winver in command prompt on RD license server and look  the os version and os version number ?[for example windows 10  enterprise 1809 (os build 17763.316)]

6 which "license program" do you select in below picture ?
can you check your purchase agreement of your rds 2019 per user cal with rds cal vendor ?

7 we can try to locate the Microsoft Clearinghouse telephone number when the cal can not be enroll correctly.
can you install Terminal Services Client Access Licenses by Using the Telephone ?

    5. Windows Server 2019 1809 (OS Build 17763.475)

    6. I'm selecting License Pack (Retail Purchase) as I only have a license Key, no agreement number. We get the license numbers from Microsoft as a benefit for being are a partner. I can send you the key in a pm if you want?

  • hi,
8 in general, if we want to use RDS for more than 2 users concurrently , we need 3 type licenses.
     (1)  windows server 2019 product key is used for activating windows server 2019.(have serial number)
     (2)  windows server 2019 cal(per user or per device)(no serial number )
     (3)  windows server 2019 rds cal(per user or per device)(have serial number but it is different from the windows 2019 product key)
    do you confuse them ?
how many windows server 2019 rds cal do you buy ? are they rds per user cal or rds device cal ?

you can chat with retail rds cal support and look if he can give your clearing house telephone number.

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/windows-server-remote-desktop-services-cal/dg7gmgf0dvsv?activetab=pivot%3aoverviewtab

9 checking if your w2019 can connect to internet in order to locate clearing house website to enroll the rds cal.

10 can you install all w2019 update patch and try to enroll your rds cal again ?

  • Hi Andy,

    8) This is taken from https://partner.microsoft.com/en-us/pcv/partnership/benefits

I'm not confusing them. Please see below.

    https://www.gravit8.co.za/keys.JPG

    9) The server can connect to the internet yes

    10) update already installed

When I speak to Microsoft Clearing House call center they keep saying I need to log a ticket with Microsoft.

  • hi,
1 there are three connection methods to install license like picture 2 ,do you try all methods to do it ?

2 if you right click "properties" on RD Licensing Manager like picture and select "telephone" on connection method, then try to telephone clearing house ,will this method can enroll your rds license?
(The Microsoft Customer Support representative will provide you with a license key pack ID. Type this ID in the following boxes in picture 3.)

  • Yes I tried all 3 methods and when I phoned Microsoft said I need to log a support ticket as they are unable to assist me.

  • Hi,

From reading your description and viewing some of your screenshots you need to open a ticket with partner support and explain to them that your RDS CAL Retail key(s) do not work.  During your various attempts to install the licenses you have not gotten the message that the licenses have already been activated/installed/used, correct?  In other words, you are receiving messages that the code is invalid or similar.

Whenever you have a case whereby the license codes are invalid you need to return to the source of the licenses and open a ticket with them.

  • Hi TP,

Yes that was my original idea. I logged a case through the partner portal and a Partner Frontline Advocate told me to post a topic on this forum, hence why I am here.

I'm getting a code invalid error yes.

If you can send me a link or advise on how to do this that would be great because there is no technical support section under the partner portal. I logged this case under MPN - Benefits, Activation. This is the closest category that matched my problem.
