Right mouse click not working RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have a Windows Server 2012 Standard setup as a RDSH. We are using RDweb and RemoteApps. Everything works just fine... except... some of the users complain that sometimes their right-hand mouse click does not work correctly. It appears for a few milliseconds and then disappears. To get it working again, the users need to logoff/logon.

    Any ideas?

  • do you have any 3rd party shell extensions which these users wouldn't have access to? these are usually some Zip application or...could be anything really

  • All users have the same rights on the RDSH. Only a few users report this problem. I thought it might be to do with the local Windows 7 Client... IE or RDP settings? No idea - just frustrating for the users.

  • well it never hurts to upgrade to the RDP 8.1 client on Win7

I know there are GPOs for restricting right click and context menus but if it's intermittent and not all users...hard to say

  • The client was using Win7 with RDP 8.0. We upgraded to RDP 8.1 a few days ago and everything looks stable. I guess that was the fix.

    Many thanks
