Wrong time with windows server 2012 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Win server 2012's clock is always incorrect.  Have changed internet time servers - no help.  Have disabled sync with internet time - no help.  Have verified correct time in Bios. Have disabled the time sync and manually set the clock and within 20 mins it is already losing time. Not sure what to try next?

  • Hi,

Is the server in question a VM?  If so, is the time correct on the host?

If not, here is a little cmd/bat file I have used for years.

    w32tm /config /manualpeerlist:"0.pool.ntp.org 1.pool.ntp.org 2.pool.ntp.org",0x8 /syncfromflags:MANUAL
    w32tm /config /update
    net stop w32time
    net start w32time
    w32tm /resync /nowait
