RDS Gateway 2016 - RPC HTTP Protocol very slow RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello all,

i have a new RDS 2016 enviroment and it works well when RDP Client ist 8.1 or newer. i connect from outside through a Gateway.

But i have the issue that a lot of client have Windows 7 and RDP 7.1 - so the Connection is over RPC-HTTP and its very very slow when connecting.  i think its even slower than on Server 2012 R2....

is there a possibility to speed up with the old RPC HTTP Connection over Gateway? its not so easy to update die Client RDP because thease clients are not managed by us.

    Thanks

  • Hi,

I assume that clients are connecting to RD resources via RD Web Access page, is that correct?

Are there any clients with different versions of mstsc.exe under the same network environment?

If yes, compared to those clients, how slow is the connecting process and which stage (you may click on Details within the connecting window to check) is taking most time?

    Best Regards,

    Amy
