  • Question

  • Hi,

We have installed windows 2012 server with WSUS 6.3 Version one year before. As of now working well. Recently we have approved nearly 250 updates for various Operating systems for win 7,10, 2008 and 2012 server.

But It showing download needed 237 files and downlaoded 91,305.59 MB of 107,325.50MB not fully downloaded.

I have tried multiple work around for event ID 364 and 10032 which was followed by forums but did not solve it. Can any one guide for meto resolve the issue .

    Thanks in advance.

  • Hi Saravanapal,

the following URL should be allowed through your firewall/proxy:

    http://wsus.ds.download.windowsupdate.com/c/msdownload/update/software/secu/2017/06/windows10.0-kb4022730-x86_749a5a7af3ac36a1ff014171f2b21eb38fc224f4.cab

    Did newer updates download successfully?

    Best regards,

    Andrei

  • Hi,

Is there any proxy setting between WSUS server and internet ?

If it exists ,please try to disable it to see if the issue persists .

For details please check the following article:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/922330/error-message-when-you-try-to-download-a-file-by-using-the-background

In addition, to change background mode to foreground mode please check the following powershell command:

    Best Regards,

    Elton
