VPN connection issue. Error 807 and 800 (Windows 7, Server 2008 R2), but some clients are able to connect RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Recently our remote staff start getting VPN connection Error 800 using WAN Miniport (L2TP) or Error 807 if specify PPTP VPN.

I'm only 1 sysadmin for the company so I can confirm that no changes has been made before it happen. After error I've updated  IOS.

In the same time some computers are able to establish VPN without any issues. I've suspected our Cisco router 2911, ie no port forwarding for TCP 1723 or GRE disabled, but some guys are able to connect.

VPN server is VM on Hyper-V. We use corporate AVG. Disabling AVG and firewall doesn't help. I didn't try this solution yet.

Using CurrPorts I can see established connection TCP 1723 between VPN server and PCs which are unable to connect

    Thanks in advance. Nick
