  • Question

  • Hello,
    2 hyper-v 2016 hosts.
Client wants me to set up replica between hosts.
Can I enable both hosts as replica server and than configure guest VMs on both hosts for replica
or just one host can be  replica(DR) server and other primary?

In this example one server is replica server and other primary

  • As Matej says, it is possible.   https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/virtualization/hyper-v/manage/set-up-hyper-v-replica provides a step-by-step guide on setting up a one-way replica.  But it is easy to extrapolate those instructions to specify two-way replication.
