We've recently setup two Server 2012 Standard machines and joined them to our local domain. Each has the full suite of Remote Desktop
Services installed with our RD Cal's entered in.
Administrators and Users are able to remote into the server prior the the installation of the RDS suite but after installation, only clients
on XP using RDC 6.1.7600 (RDP 7.0) are able to remote into the servers.
Administrators and Users on Windows 7 ENT/Windows 8 ENT running 6.2.9200 (RDP 8.0) are able to authorize with their credentials but immediately
afterwards are presented with "This Computer can't connect to the remote computer" error box. Anyone seen this on 2012 in the past? I've gone through setting up a broker, played with certs but nothing seems to allow RDP 8 in. Any help would be greatly
This sounds like a licensing issue. Have all your clients successfully connected to an RDSH/TS environment before? Maybe your XP clients still have cached CALs while your Win7/Win8 clients have not. What kind of RD CALs are on the license server?
