  • hi all

    i install Linux iso on hyper-v visualization 

    (my pc is win 8.1)

    i need some guide line for make the internet adapter work on the new virtual linux.

    which network to chose?

    how to config the adapter in linux?

    which virtual switch to chose?

    i working with wi fi - so i dont have static ip.

  • Ah.  Frankly this is not unusual when using a wifi adapter.

    I have a similar situation but only when I use the wifi at my employer.  When I use the wifi at my home my VM gets an IP just fine.  And wired always works.

    Someone mentioned to me that it actually has to do with how the Linux VM requests the DHCP in the first place.

    Explore around this a bit, and try different wifi routers and DHCP servers to see if it resolves.
