Clear dhcp pool RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello, I have the following situation, in my network there are some VLAN's and one of them has sold out. New machines or those that were out of the network for more than 3 days no longer receive ip. My service provider says there is no way to clear the DHCP cache. And the realese time he can't change. For causing DNS issues.
Anyway, there is a way to either release unused IPs that are stuck in DHCP, or release the entire list to resend IPs.

    Thank you.

  • Hi Maurício,

Assuming you're using a Windows DHCP server, open the problematic scope, go to "Address Leases". Select the clients that are no longer active and do a right click > Delete. If you do this on clients that are still active this can result in duplicated IP adresses being assigned to your devices. If you delete all leases do an "IPCONFIG /RENEW" on ALL active devices.

    Kind Regards,
