fsutil; The parameter is incorrect
-
I have been attempting to use fsutil on a windows 2008 64 bit server however, no matter how I enter the parameters; I receive an error “The parameter is incorrect”. I doesn’t matter what drive I specify.
Has anyone experienced and found a fix with this issue?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Do you have another Windows 2008 64bit system? Compare the size of the fsutil.exe. Also you can try to replace the one with another one from a working computer.

Self healing is now disabled for volume c:.C:\>fsutil repair set c: 1
Self healing is now enabled for volume c: with flags 0x1.
flags: 0x01 - enable general repair

It also works in my system.
It is not caused by drive letter as if drive letter is not correct, the error should be "The system cannot find the file specified."
However, when we enter an incorrect parameter, such as "fsutil wrong", the error will be "wrong is an invalid parameter" and "Commands Supported"will be prvided. So the error is not the same as you provided. I tried on both Windows 2008 R2 and Windows 2008
